Oh, and not bulk shopping, unless it's for candy

I need to bring Romance back into my life. I don't mean the love-thump-thump-squirt kind, i'm talking the kind that makes you always feel like you're in a movie. The little part of you that sees from the outside looking in that appreciates all the little things you are normally too wrapped up in yourself and your obsessions to see. The part of you that wants to take pictures of your roommate brushing their teeth.

I was thinking about that (that i need to bring back the fantasy) today as i was squinting in the hot sun across Lamar, and it's 4 fucking lanes of whizzing SUVs, at the People's Pharmacy sign that read, "Grain Fed Beef, Always Fresh, Grain Fed Beef." Yeah, i know, beef at the pharmacy.

And i realized that it's going to be a little harder here. The land of chicken fried steaks, drive through liqour stores called The Party Barn, old men named Tex wearing Guayaberas and cowboy hats who have lived here all their lives and don't speak a word of Spanish, and a grocery store that can't spell jack-o'-lanturn but has 53 different varieties of Ranch dressing.

I need to feel magical. Wether or not it's of my own making is not the point.

Things that don't make me feel magical: college kids/burnt orange, beef, buffets, air conditioning, cranky government workers with name tags, commercials and advertisements in general

Things that do: mexicans, cacti, the rare Jamaican, the globe game, Billy, Kelly's bead box, bike riding in the dark, How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days and Matthew MacConaughey in general, mail
